Chemps
Chemps is a solitaire chess puzzle game played on a 4x4 grid, using common chess pieces, some that may be unfamiliar and others that are new. You control the pawn, who gains the abilities of the other mostly stationary pieces during play. Can you capture them all before the clock runs out?
This game was bouncing around in my head for a while; 20 SECOND GAME JAM 2023 came along and got me to simplify it even further and incorporate the timed play mode featured in the game jam edition you can play on this page!
The game jam edition is also downloadable, as is a version with different modes for those who want more than twenty seconds to play.

This was so fun to learn. Once I took a step back and actually read the instructions I did great.😅 It was a fun way to change up chess. Wonderful work and good luck on your game jam!

I really like how you cleaned down the classic chess puzzle game, with your own piece spins on top of that! Graphipcs are nice, rules are mostly clear, well done!
One thing: I would love to swap the menu confirm button from O to X so you don’t accidentaly go to the next stage when you want to re-try and have the habit of using O cuz you capture with that!
